In December 2023, I became a Fellow Certified Professional Accountant!
The designation Fellow of the Certified Practicing Accountants, or FCPA, represents the highest level of achievement and recognition within the CPA profession. It signifies exceptional service, leadership, and contributions to the accounting profession and the community, often demonstrating a commitment to ethical standards and significant career achievements.
For me, this achievement represents over twenty years of constant learning while running my own business and raising a family single-handed, making a great achievement truly extraordinary. As a woman in a previously male-dominated profession, it also represents overcoming the challenges of discrimination against non-male accountants which still persist today. Becoming an FCPA is proof-positive of my expertise, giving my clients confidence that their business is safely in the hands of one of the foremost professionals in the field of public practice accounting.
